Composite Bows
Composite bows are made by gluing two or more types of wood together to form a single bow.
Sylvandell composite bows combine an osage-orange core with a heat-tempered bamboo back.
Sylvandell found that combining these two particular woods creates a fast-shooting, hard-hitting, and
durable bow. Sylvandell uses the Perry reflex design when crafting composite bows (see Bowyer's Bible,
Volume 3, page 91).
Take-Down Bows
Sylvandell Bows also creates woodbows in a modern take-down style, with a hinge handle. Take-down
bows combine the same high-quality materials and craftsmanship with a convenient, modern flair. Simply
disassemble the bow in three easy steps and pack it with you on your next hunting trip.
Flatbows
Sylvandell Bows handcrafts unique flatbows using osage-orange wood and offers several customizable
design options. Choose the type of bow, backing material, and style of grip, detailed on the Ordering page,
to customize your own unique bow. Sylvandell can even inlay a compass on your custom woodbow!
